Game Developers Conference

Fueled by the return of in-person events and the public launch of a brand refresh, a cross-functional squad came together to demonstrate Unity's commitment to games.

Start here. Go anywhere. That was not just the tagline for GDC but the sentiment we wanted attendees to walk away with. We aimed to inform, inspire, and educate.

The design system had three core components: inspiring content, refreshed brand elements, and motion that shifted from obscure to clear to symbolize the creative process.

For visual content, we worked closely with Unity's internal productions team on custom visuals from an upcoming sample game they'd be releasing at GDC. In addition, we leveraged content from other internal sample projects and Made with Unity games to set aspirations.
